RAGNAROK Launches the Ninja Second Class
Oboro and Kagerou make their debut!

Many ages ago, there was a powerful clan of shadow warriors who served the Lord of Amatsu. Content to be the right hand to the feudal warlord, they were known as the Ninja-silent assassins who excelled in weapon and magical arts.
In time, the Lord of Amatsu grew to mistrust their growing power and influence, and they were forced to retreat to the shadows they held so dear. These Ninja passed into the realm of legend, a fairy tale told to frighten small children.
Just recently the descendants of the original Ninja have returned to assist in the battle against the forces of evil in Rune Midgards, and have been gathering recruits to pass on their ancient techniques.
Until now, there have been no men or women strong enough in body and spirit to learn the most secret Ninja arts, those developed by the founding members of the clan so long ago.
That is about to change. Beginning now, ninjas at base level 99 and job level 70 will be able to develop themselves into advanced Kagerou and Oboro class characters, super-powered Ninjas with a yen…for battle!
A descendant of the original Ninja clan has returned to assist in the battle against the forces of evil in Rune Midgard, and have been gathering recruits to pass on their ancient techniques.

A large and popular town when it was originally introduced on International Ragnarok Online, it has made its way onto the new Pre-Renewal Classic server! In addition to the quests that will be available, this also unlocks the homunculus companion monsters for Alchemist class characters and the mysterious Somatology Laboratory dungeon below Lighthalzen.
Airship routes to the city-state of Lighthalzen have opened up and adventurers from around Rune Midgard have journeyed over long distances to discover what this seemingly peaceful town has to offer. Established by the powerful Rekenber Corporation, the city-state of Lighthalzen grew from a simple mountain village to a prosperous metropolis. Though they have brought great wealth to the town, visitors whisper of dark experiments taking place behind the clean façade of the Rekenber headquarters. Players will have their hands full if they attempt to unravel the mystery…
This update allows for Alchemists to create Homunculi, user-programmable monsters that will fight on the side of their creators. There are four different kinds of homunculi, each with their own special skills and specialty. These helpful new creatures are much more than pets.

The Jump Start event is a two week event designed to help level new characters up to level 50. Ragnarok can be a very challenging game at the beginning, especially for its unique support class characters. REQUIEM: THE ALTAR OF SACRIFICE!
Requiem starts the year with Blood, Slaughter, Loot and Levels!
Buena Park, California – January 9, 2013 – Requiem plans to bring on of its’ first update in January 2013! Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), has the potential to shake the foundation its’ game which has over the top bloody violence in its’ dark-fantasy world. The update plans to bring an engaging game experience which will be delivered to the players with a new raid instance and an increase to the level cap to 90. The level cap will bring 7 more skill points for players to further their classes. Both the Raid and the Level increase are set to launch on January 15th, 2013!
This update will contain an all new area where players will face off against three old gods from the distant past.

Deep beneath the Secret Temple lays a dormant power hidden for ages. Loose scripts have told of god-like beings ruling for a moment in time during the Dark Ages.
To appease these god-like beings, flesh from across Ethergia was given to them to gratify their hunger. Their hunger for flesh was small at first, a couple virgins every year; then it these being’s hunger began to rise. From years to months, months to weeks, to weeks to days, and from days to hours. The sacrifices began to take a toll in the population of Ethergia.
The Holy Xenon Empire’s sub-division, “Filias sanctae Matris”, a dedicated group of Battle-Maiden decided to end this madness. Posed as the next group of sacrifices, they lured the three beings into an Altar of Sacrifice and had the door sealed from the outside, sacrificing themselves for Ethergia.
This seal was to be casted once and never to be revealed again. Knowledge of the secret altar was stricken from all records and burned.
The three god-like beings were to be forever forgotten… that is until foolish explorative Temperions gained access to it.

For players who enjoyed the original game mechanics and story flavor of Ragnarok Online, Gravity has launched its Classic Server in June. As the months passed, the server had more regions and features added, this newest “Prayer to the Heavens” update brings the Transcendent classes to the game. Transcendent classes are evolved, more powerful classes for the current 13 2nd classes. The Transcendent classes step up the power level of the game for Player vs Player and the high level game content that is soon to come on the Classic Server.
Mankind has always sought to escape the limits of mortal strength and become something more. The Ragnarok is upon us once again, and transcending those limits is the only hope for humanity to survive. A brilliant scientist in the Schwartzvald Republic believes that he possesses the answer, and need players help to construct the device that will make that possible. Adventurers level 98 and above can participate in a multi-part quest to discover the secret for themselves.

This World Event is something new to show how game changing Transcendent classes are for players and the story.
