The War of Emperum Arrives on Classic Server
Marina Del Rey, California – October 9, 2012 - Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), has announced that the massive War of Emperium update has officially launched on Ragnarok Online’s Classic Server. For nostalgia minded players who enjoyed the original mechanics and maps of the game, Gravity launched its Classic Server in June. As the months passed, the server had more regions and features added. This update introduces the War of Emperium: Ragnarok Online's signature guild versus guild competition, pitting warriors from around the world against each other in a weekly test of skill and strategy.
“Classic server is now ready to launch War of Emperum, over the course of three test WoEs we have opened up all of the realms and castles, as well as the guild dungeons,” says Producer Jason “Heimdallr” Koerperich, Ragnarok Online Producer at Gravity Interactive. "With the launch of full WoE castle holding guilds will be able to invest in a castles economy, improve its defenses, pick up treasure, and access the guild dungeon!”
With the War of Emperium launched, one of the next updates in Classic’s future will be the introduction of Transcendent classes, powerful upgrades to existing classes that can be unlocked by reaching the level cap. October Sealed Box event begins for players who have redeemed a magic stone item to change to their second job class. The sealed boxes will drop off of random monsters when wearing a special event headgear and can be unlocked with keys from the item mall for unique and useful items. Marina del Rey, CA –September 21, 2012 – Playing Games is Educational! G-Learning (Game based Learning) applies educational content in the class room. The G-Learning purpose is to improve the efficiency in the academic achievements of the students. Gravity Interactive developer of the popular massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) ROSE Online has partnered with South Korea based CMI (Korean Contents Managements Institute) to bring G-Learning to public Education in Vietnam.
“We have seen the success that G-Learning has had and we are excited to see the results from the class room in Vietnam,” said Jay H Choi, Chief Operation Officer at Gravity Interactive. “The excitement in learning is what we have enjoyed seeing, and to see that comprehension results are higher with the G-Learning system has been spectacular!”
G-Learning has seen results in the United States, South Korea and is currently in class rooms in Vietnam. In September 2010, G-learning was used for the first time in a United States elementary school in Culver City, California. The results of the first G-Learning class showed a 10.8% increase in scoring averages with Game Based Learning of Math. Last year, Gyeonggi Province surveyed 42 elementary schools conducting G-learning classes in English and Math with scores improving respectively, 52% and 29%.
This year in Trân Duc Luong, Vietnam G-Learning, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, will be used in class rooms and expanded based on results. “The students and teachers reaction was beyond expectation,” said Chay Trong Lien Hio Quic, Officer at the Ministry of Education. “Depending on the result, we will plan to extend the G-learning to whole Ho Chi Minh City schools, Vietnam is now focusing on global education and Game based learning which is perfectly suitable for our policy contents.” he added.

About Game Based Learning (G-learning)
The Contents Management Institute developed an online curriculum based on analysis of the English & math curriculum for fifth graders using “Rose Online,” it’s based on Massively Multiplayer Online Game created by Gravity Interactive and introduced it to the public school system. The method was first used in business management classes at ChungAng University in 2003, and over the past eight years has been adopted by graduate schools at Seoul National University and elementary, middle and high schools in Korea. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology designated “model schools” for G-learning in 2009, and since then G-learning has been conducted in English and math classes at those schools.
Contents Management Institute (CMI) has been constructing G-learning service infrastructure such as producing G-learning contents, designing G-Learning instruction and G-learning teacher training program. Game based learning is perfectly suitable for the general education that is familiar with online games. While playing games, they have fun and learn. The basic premise is to utilize gaming’s optimal functions, to immerse and not repress the game.

FIRST MAJOR UPDATE
“Skies of Palus” Will Be Open To All September 19th
Marina del Rey, CA - September 13, 2012 - Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), will received an update for Maestia: Rise of Keledus dubbed “Skies of Palus”. The update will surprise the community by raising the level cap, expanding the skill tree, and adding a new PvP mode. Players can look forward to starting September 19th at http://www.playmaestia.com/.
The upcoming update will increase the character level cap from 59 to 68. The update will be adding an exciting new zone to the game: Palus, The Forgotten Swamp is a new Day/Night zone for players to compete. Players will have the opportunity to engage in large scale battles to secure dominance for the raid bosses. The raid bosses will also receive an update by retuning the encounters to make it extremely challenging and unforgiving for unprepared parties. Skies of Palus will also a new dungeon instance with two sets of difficulty. Also included will be an expanded skill tree for every class that will give players new skills for these new encounters.
The mercenary system will also receive an update by allowing players to recruit their alternate characters to expand the way they want to play in the game. Following this update, Gravity plans to coincide with the mercenary update with a new event. Players will also receive a new system to upgrade their older Maestone. The Maestone upgrade system will allow players to place their old Maestone for a chance an upgraded version.
Players are allowed this weekend only! Rare monsters from Lipido will be spawning with frenzy! The Dark Lord Keledus’s influence has been slowly creeping into the Land of Desires. His twisted dark energies corrupt the land by increasing the numbers of his strongest minions. Tales of glorious treasures hidden within their bodies have been heard in the streets of Superion. If you are heroes, stop this madness!
