Aeons before the Magic City of Eucar was founded, the shamanistic ways dominated the land; under the guidance of the Moon Pastors, who faithfully followed the benevolent Goddess Luna, she entrusted man with wisdom and power beyond normal mortal capabilities. This unparalleled peace and prosperity was not to last as one of the Shamans, Laguz, stumbled upon the Teiwaz Doctrine, which paved the way for the dark God Hebarn to corrupt the charismatic Laguz with promises of limitless control.
By the time the other Shamans discovered his treachery, it was too late, and Laguz quickly took over or killed the Shamanistic order, and sealed the helpless Goddess Luna away, deep within the Sea of Dawn. Thus began the age of Dark Shamans, which finally fell after the rise of the current-day Arumics. But the damage was done, and despite their best magical efforts, it seemed Luna could not be retrieved from the terrible spell which sealed her away.
Now, a new age has dawned for Rosearians, as the Goddess Arua has charged her warriors with the task of freeing her sister Luna, and her followers have successfully re-created the bridge which leads to her prison. Luna has waited patiently in her icy prison, saddened by all she sees; will you be the one to bring the first smile in ages to her face?

Level Increase, Talent Tree Improvements, and Mercenary System Now Live
Marina del Rey, California - July 19, 2012 - Gravity Interactive, a publisher of exciting massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPGs), launched today the start of open beta testing for their highly anticipated Maestia: Rise of Keledus. Whether choosing to be a Guardian or a Knight, players begin by marching directly to http://www.playmaestia.com/, and Registering to be part of the exciting open beta, which includes the feedback from the closed beta testers.
"Maestia’s closed beta test was a huge success, and we took the lessons learned from our players and GMs, and are already hard at work on a number of changes we’re excited to unveil during the open beta test," said Jay Choi, Chief Operating Officer at Gravity Interactive. "Much like the closed beta, we’re opting to keep this test period short and intense, so we can gather feedback from our most loyal players, with the game’s official launch not far behind!”
Numerous changes have occurred since the closed beta ended on June 21st. Chief among them is players are now able to reach level 59, up from 40. Though all past progress was wiped during the preparation for open beta, those who made it to max level during the closed beta retain their character name. To support these additional levels, two new sections of the game are now open, as well as two additional dungeons, both available as normal and expert mode.
The open beta also unveils a vastly improved talent tree for all classes. Abilities have been streamlines into three loose tiers, making it easier for players to distinguish various talent roles. Rangers will now find bow skills in their topmost tier, while daggers will be the lowermost tier, with utility abilities sandwiched between the two. Warriors will find their tanking abilities at the top, their damage abilities on the bottom, and utility through the middle.
Want to make some extra EXP and currency while logged off? Need some help on a tough quest or dungeon? Try out the Mercenary System, available now in open beta. Players can loan out their characters while offline to the mercenary system, where other players may hire them for a cost. When the player returns, they will have earned some extra experience and money, courtesy of the mercenary system!

In celebration of the Independence Day holiday, starting July 4th for two weeks all monsters have a chance of dropping an Event Prayer for the Dead. Players can collect a stack of 10 of these items and turn them into the nearest Event NPC available in all major towns for a chance to receive the following: High Rank Compression Xeon, Exp +100% (1 day), Item Drop Rate +100% (4 Hours), Battlefield Reward Point Reduction Xeons and more. During this period all Costumes and Mounts will also be on sale. To help increase a chance of drops, Chance Makers will remain in the Item Mall available for purchase for these two weeks. In addition, from now until July 5th any point conversion of 1,000 or greater from WP Energy to Requiem Item Mall Points will receive an additional 5% bonus points. That is added on to the conversion bonus already in place: 10%, 15%, and 20% are now 15%, 20% and 25% until July 5th! Ragnarok Online
As so many of our in-the-know community has realized, Ragnarok has been launched a Classic RO server. There are going to be a lot of differences between the Renewal servers and Classic, the intent is to start off simply and add maps, features and classes as the server levels up. This server is running as a completely new server and using the original game settings and physics.
The yet-to-be-named Classic Server is to offer that choice of gameplay between Original and the Renewed. And that has us and many players really excited for this opportunity to play like they used to! Ragnarok is holding a Sponsored Leveling event, 10 of the fastest to level up on the new Classic Ragnarok server will earn $100. New maps and events are being added every 2 weeks!
Double EXP and Double drops are going on now through July 5th and now through July 17th players can get a hold of the Wickedine’s Black Cat Ears and Gangster Scarf—which were chosen as the favorite headgear by the USRC participants. Both items will be available in one box!
